PROF. ALEX ZANOTTI ACTIVITY SELECTED BY AEROACOUSTICS SPECIALISTS’ COMMITTEE (ASC) OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPEAN AEROSPACE SOCIETIES (CEAS) ON 2024 HIGHLIGHTS REPORT

An experimental-numerical activity performed by Prof. Alex.Zanotti research team was selected by Aeroacoustics Specialists’ Committee (ASC) of the Council of European Aerospace Societies (CEAS) to be included in the CEAS-ASC 2024 highlights report.

This report published on Journal of Sound and Vibration presented a yearly curated overview of the most relevant research activities in Aeroacoustics conducted across Europe.

In particular, the activity performed at DAER Aerodynamics Laboratory in the frame of GARTEUR AG26 presented notable advancements in the field of Propeller Noise, by means of a comprehensive experimental campaign and a numerical activity using DUST, the mid-fidelity solver developed by Prof. Zanotti research group, aimed at providing thorough understandings about the aeroacoustics signature of a dual-propeller system in tandem, reproducing a valuable configuration for the study of interactional aerodynamics of electrical Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft, under investigation for Advanced Air Mobility applications.
