7th SU2 CONFERENCE

The SU2 Community is gathering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, for its traditional annual conference! The event will take place from November 9 to 11, 2026, bringing together researchers, scientists, engineers, and SU2 developers from around the world to share their latest work, discuss recent advancements, and shape the future development of the SU2 ecosystem.

The SU2 community continues to grow rapidly, bringing together researchers, engineers, developers, and users from around the world. Together, we are making a measurable global impact on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and advancing the use of open-source tools across the engineering sciences.
SU2 is much more than an open-source software package—it is a scientific research platform incorporating state-of-the-art numerical methods. Driven by the contributions of users and developers around the world, SU2 has become a well-established platform with broad applications across industries including aeronautics, automotive engineering, marine and ship design, and renewable energy.
As the community enters its next chapter, the 7th SU2 Conference provides an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, share the latest developments, and shape the future of the SU2 project. It is time to tap into our collective expertise, creativity, and skills to take SU2 to the next level.

The 7th SU2 Conference will bring this growing community together to explore the state of the art, present new research and applications, foster collaboration, and identify new opportunities for innovation. Whether you are a long-time SU2 contributor, an active user, or discovering the platform for the first time, the conference is an invitation to catch up with the state of the art—and push the boundaries of what is possible with SU2.
The event will feature an exciting program of technical presentations and keynote talks, showcasing recent developments, innovative applications, and research achievements across a broad range of topics, including Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), turbomachinery, multiphysics, optimization, adjoint methods, algorithmic differentiation, surrogate modelling, and more.
A third day will be open to hands-on activities, developer training sessions, and an open discussion with the SU2 Lead Developers, providing participants with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the software and engage directly with the development team.

Whether you are an experienced SU2 user, a researcher exploring new applications, an engineer working on industrial challenges, or simply interested in the future of open-source CFD, the SU2 Conference is an opportunity to connect with the community and contribute to the discussion.
Therefore, save the date, spread the word, and keep an eye on the conference website, where you will find the full program, registration details, and all relevant and up-to-date information.

Join us as we build the next generation of open-source computational science, together!
