HORIZONE EUROPE: TANGO: Task-based visual Autonomous Navigation and Guidance in uncooperative close - proximity Operations
HORIZONE EUROPE: TANGO: Task-based visual Autonomous Navigation and Guidance in uncooperative close - proximity Operations

Description of the research and its impact
- The TANGO project aims to combine event-based vision and RGB vision to enable satellites to quickly and accurately perceive their surroundings, select and track a target satellite, and perform visual guidance to solve complex operational tasks in low Earth orbit (LEO) without human intervention.
- The main objectives of TANGO are 1) the development of a relative navigation algorithm to enable visual closed-loop guidance and 2) the development of a stable and robust guidance law for in-orbit services.
Main contributions DAER
- The TANGO project is funded under Horizon Europe, Pillar 1, MSCA Personal Fellowship
- DAER is the host institution for the individual project.
